Wildlife and Hunting

There are many species of wildlife that call MKT ranch home. The herds of Axis, Red stag and Rio Grande turkey thrive in the heavily brushed creek bottoms.

You will find groups of Blackbuck, Oryx and wildebeest throughout the ranch grazing the fields and food-plots. Nilgai, Aoudad, and fallow are accustomed to the cover the mesquite and sagebrush offers which will all result in a challenging hunt.

To cater to all species, there are 8 blind and feeder locations strategically placed.

The ranch has been groomed to benefit all of the wildlife that call the MKT Ranch home.

However, the white-tailed deer in particular have been managed under the Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP III) which offers the opportunity to work with a TPWD biologists to customize harvest plans and extend the hunting season. The previous ranch owner has worked with a biologist for over a decade now managing the white-tailed deer herd.
